Fairies and a cave

«Shalom aleichem, child. Shalom aleichem.»

Ahsoka woke up and felt the taste of blood in her mouth. And she remembered that she and her master had happened to have a fight when they had walked from the orphanage.

He had abused her, yelling,

«You’re terrible at following orders.»

But Ahsoka had yelled back at him,

«Your orders suck.»

And after that, she couldn’t remember much. Even if she tried. She couldn’t remember how she had gotten bruise under her left eye, and why her mouth hurt so much. She only recalled that Anakin had stunned her with a blaster so everything became black. And so she had waken up here, in this… she looked around at the circumstances… this cave. And there was these fairies circling around her. They where… four?

One of them landed on her knee,

«Hello, child.» it was a girl, and she seemed kindly enough, «I’m Abigail, and these are…» the other three joined her on her knee, «My brothers; Shadrak, Meshak and Abed-Nego.»

Ahsoka smiled at them in return,

«Nice to meet you, but…» she looked around at the otherwise so very empty cave, «Where are my master, and my sister.»

«Oh,»Abigail smiled, «About that, we where going to tell you.» walking up to her chest, «They are away to gather some woods to make a fireplace here. And in the meantime, Anakin instructed us to keep you safe and sound here in the cave. And you ain’t getting anywhere on our watch.»

Ahsoka widened her eyes,

«I have to find them.» raising up from the stonetable where she was laying, or was it a stonebed? Maybe a Stonebench? Whatever… it had nothing to say anyway. She walked to the caces opening looking out at the snow, «They can get lost out there.»

«No they wont.» Abigail protested, dragging in her clothes to pull her back, «No they wont, because they have our parents with them. And they are wellknown in these woods.»

«Well…» Ahsoka sighed, «You are really putting my worry at ease.» she sarcastically said.

«Yeah.» Abigail responded, flying up to her face, «Look. We all wish; Me and my brothers, that we could grant you a wish, but we spent all our magic on your Master, who used all the wishes on himself.»

Ahsoka slowly went to sit down at the stonetable,

«You are granting wishes?»

«Yeah. But your Master took your wish, including you sister’s, and he used it all up on himself. Because his own wish, clearly wasen’t enough for him.»

Ahsoka furrowed her brow,

«So someone can take another persons wish? Just like that?»

The fairies nodded,

«Yeah. If he has authority over you. And it seems like Anakin have.»

«But…» Ahsoka looked down at the ground, «I don’t understand why he must be that greedy.» she let her hands rest in her lap, «What did he wish for?»

«For honour and glory.» Abigail slowly went to sit on Ahsokas shoulder, «For kingdomship, eternal life, and happily ever after.»

The apprentice snorted,

«There is no such thing as happily ever after.»

«Well…» suddenly a black cat entered through the caves opening, followed by a twelve year old girl. The cat jumped up on Ahsokas lap, purring loudly. And the girl followed it, walking up to stand before Ahsoka with a curious smile.

Ahsoka stood up, lifting the cat in her arms,

«Who are you?»

The child smiled even more at her,

«I’m… Amanda… and…» she took the weapon from helt belt and held it up, «I got an axe.»

Angel of death

Ventress, the Nightsister walked through the snowy landscape of the world which was called Secrecy. It was almost Christmas. Only a couple of days left.

She was thinking on how that Jedi, Anakin had just abandoned here in this world a long time ago. Just left her for dead when he had rushed through the portal before it closed.

But now, she had felt his pressence here again, which meant he was back. And that also meant that the portals would be open for a while. But Ventress didn’t care. She had no intentions to ever leave Secrecy. She was beginning to like it here. But all she needed now, was a companion who could join her in her evilness. So that was what she was looking for right now.

She came to a little, cozy house, in the evening night, and walked up to the door, knocking.

Amanda sat by the kitchen-table, doing some home-work when she heard the knock, and her mother Chassandra went to open, with the baby-girl tucked to her chest, only four month old. Who could possibly be out this late? she thought

«Hello?» looking up at the face of the evil wich. «And who could you be?»

Ventress let her hood down, looking down at the young woman, and the baby in her arms,

«What a sweet creature.» she smiled, reaching out towards it. But the woman responded by slapping her hand.

«Do not touch my child!» she responded in a defensive tone, «I asked you a question: Who are you? And what do you want?»

Ventress strightened up and cleared her throat,

«I’m the angel of death and I couldn’t help but notice that you haven’t covered your door-way in the blood of the lamb.»

Chassandra cast a worrying glance back towards her oldest daughter, Amanda who sat doing homework at the table. Only twelve years of age.

She looked back at the wich, before she screamed at her,

«Get out, you…»

But Ventress pushed her aside, so she fell to the floor, still with the baby in her arms.

«I have come to get what’s mine. Now let me in, and give me a soul to keep.» walking past the horrified woman, towards the twelve year old.

«Amanda, run!» Chassandra yelled, «Get out of here, now! Hurry!»

Amanda turned her gaze towards the frightening nightsister who made her way towards her in a quick march.

The child closed her book and rose from the table in such a hurry that the chair which she had been sitting on, fell to the door.

Then she made her way to the window and leapt right into the glass so it broke and shaddered everywhere. But Amanda made it through and landed in the barefeet in the snow. She cast a quick glance back at the remaining frame of a window, which carried sharp pieces of broken glass, before she looked down at her legs, noticing that she was bleeding. She saw Ventress quickly make her way through the hole, and started to run away from her.

«Come here…» the wich yelled, before chasing after her in a rage.

But Amanda was quick. Quicker than the wich was, but the only bad thing was that she didn’t know where to hide, which made her very uncertain and she ran from three to three, seeking after a hiding place.

But it only slowed her down when she didn’t know where to go, and Ventress tailed in on her and assaulted her from behind so they both fell down into the snow.

«Let me go!» Amanda shouted out in panic and fear, trying to get away from her. But Ventress grabbed hold if her, before she made it up to her feet, tossing the child against a three with a knife against its throat,

«You wanna live?» she asked.

Amanda looked back at her with eyes wide of fear,

«Very badly, yes.»

«Then do excactly what I say. No running from now on, okay?»

Amanda nodded instantly and Ventress then tok the knife away.

Orphanage

«You know Snips,» Anakin said as they were walking off.

Zilla was flying above them, doing some twist and turns in the sky, being a bit annoying to the Jedi-Knight, but he chose to ignore her,

«You know, my very young Apprentice, that where ever you go, I will always find you.»

Ahsoka nodded,

«Yes. Of course I know, my Master.»

«And there is no escape, no hiding.» he continued as he held his hand on her back, between her wings, «Wherever you are, I will search you up and I will get you. I will always come for you. There’s no escape from my grasp.»

Zilla flew down and landed on the ground,

«Are you trying to sow fear into your Padawan? Because…»

Anakin held up a dismissive hand towards her,

«Be quiet, Zilla.» He scolded, «You have no say in this matter.»

«But…»

«Husj.»

Ahsoka lowered her eyes to the ground as her master gently led the way they were going, holding her close to his side. And her sister just walked behind them in silence.

His Apprentice raised her head when she heard a song coming from a building in the distance, which they were going to get past,

«It’s the hard-knock life, for us. It’s the hard-knock life for us…»

She looked questingly to her Master,

«What’s that?»

Anakin sighed,

«That’s just an orphanage, Ahsoka.»

«Can we check it out? Please?»

He shaked his head, looking frustrated,

«There’s no time for that. There’s along way to the portal. And if we don’t get to it in time, it will close, and we will be trapped in here.»

Ahsoka sighed sadly and lowered her gaze to the ground once again.

Anakin had cautiously explained to them that they couldn’t enter back into the same portal which they came through in the first place, because of a traction force that would just pull them away from it. And therefore they had to find another portal which Anakin knew where was because he had been in this world before. But it was a long way. A wery long way. Fortyfive hours, maximum.

«But…» Ahsoka tried, carefully, «It wouldn’t hurt anybody to just check it out?»

Skywalker inhaled slowly,

«Okay… I guess a little look wouldn’t be bad.»

«Yess!» she lightened up, before turning to her twinsister, «Come on, Zilla!» and then the two off them went running in exitement towards the orphanage.

Anakin just shaked his head as he walked after them in an quick march, mumbling to himself,

«Children…»

Ahsoka and Zilla reach the door to the orphanage and stopped to knock,

«You think we get shown inside?» Ahsoka asked.

Zilla shruggered her shoulders,

«I don’t know, maybe.»

A high lady dressed in a dark gown, opened up. She stared down at them before she narrowed her eyes,

«And who might you be?»

The twins looked back up at her. Ahsoka tried in her curiosity to get a look at the inside and focused her eyes at the hall behind the lady.

«I’m Ahsoka.» she said after a!while, «And this is my sister Zilla. Is it you who run this orphanage?»

The lady’s lips turned to a narrow line,

«Yes.» she harshly said, «What do you want?»

Just then the girls heard a call from behind,

«Padawans!» as Anakin caught up with them.

The lady’s face changed as she saw him,

«Ah, a gentleman.» her lips curled a little up, and she set up her best expression, thinking he was interested to adopt a child or something. But Anakin just grabbed Ahsoka’s arm. Scolding in a whisper,

«What do you think you are doing?»

His Padawan looked back at him,

«I can feel their sorrow, Master. The kids here. I don’t think they have it so well…»

The lady in the door exhaled,

«I can ensure you that the Orphans is getting the best treatment and the best toys. They just love being here.» stepping aside in the doorway, «Want a tour inside?»gesturing with her arm as her eyes were fixed on the Jedi-Knight.

But Anakin just shaked his head,

«Thank you for the invitation, but we have no time.» placing his hands on Ahsoka’s shoulders and moving her away, «We have to go. Sorry for the interrubtion.»

«But Master…» Ahsoka protested, «Maybe we can help the Orphans here. That’s an opportunity we want let go away, is it?»

«We can’t help everyone, Snips. Now come on.»

Zilla stood her ground as she saw the other two slowly leave the area. Ahsoka looked at her in wonder as she gazed with confidement uo at the lady,

«I’m not leaving before I know exactly how the children are.» and then she ran past the lady and into the building.

«Zilla!» Ahsoka shouted, before she broke free from Anakins grip and ran after her.

What they’re doing there.

Ahsoka and Zilla had just finished eating a delicios lunch with the king,

«We’re so honored to be here, your Majesty.» when they heard a familliar voice from outside,

«Ahsoka!» it said, «I know you’re in there! Come out so we can talk.»

The twins shocked got up from the table,

«Oh no…» Ahsoka swallowed, with a lump in her throat, before making her way to the big window allong with Zilla. And from up here, they could see the Jedi-knight standing in the garden outside, looking up.

Ahsoka just wanted to hide away so he shouldn’t see her in the window, but she knew better,

«He’s coming for us.» she said to Zilla, «We have to go.»

King David made his way to them by the window where they stood looking out. He stared down at the man who was dressed in his usual black leather and Jedi-robes,

«Who’s that?»

«That’s…» Ahsoka hesitated, she didn’t know how she should explain all this Jedi-order thing, and Jedi-life to the King who most certantly wouldn’t get it, so she said, «That’s… eh… he’s my brother… he, he.»

«Oh. Invite him in.» David responded, «Maybe he want some cup of tea or coffee?»

Ahsoka grabbed Zillas arm,

«Yeah, I wish we could do that, but…»

«What pleases?»

«I think he’s in a hurry. A…Anakin never stops for a break.»

«Okay. I think I understand. Where do you live? Maybe I can follow you home?»

«It would be a pleassure, your exelency, but…» She hesitated, she couldn’t just say that she came from another world. He would begin to think she was crazy, «It’s complicated…»

«Ahsoka!» They heard from outside again.

«We have to go now.» doing a humble bow which Zilla aldo repeated, «But thank you for the stay.»

«My pleassure girls. I always strive to get to know the people in my kingdom. See you around?»

«Eh… perhaps…» Zilla grabbed her hand in a hurry, saying, «Your…» she cast a glance King David, before looking at Ahsoka again, «You’re brother is getting irritated. Let’s go.»

«Good bye, your Majesty.» doing a little bow once again.

David raised his hand and winked in to them a royal way,

«See ya.»

And then the twins jumped out off the window, flying down on their wings, before landing in front off Anakin.

«Here we are, my Master.»

But Skywalker looked like if he was about to laugh. He turned around, with his hand over his face,

«What in the world are you wearing?» he giggled, «It looks like you are going to some sort of a carnival.»

«Hey!» Ahsoka put her hands in her side, «You think we look funny?»

Anakin sighed, turning to face them again,

«No… but back to the subject, «What are you doing here?»

The castle

Zilla Tano didn’t know how long they had walked this glorious morning, but suddenly they could see a castle before them in the distance.

Ahsoka pointed at it, exlaiming,

«There it is!» before starting to run towards it.

Zilla also ran, after her,

«Wait…» fixing her gaze at the sight before them, «We have wings. Why don’t we fly? It will go faster.»

Ahsoka seemed uncertain,

«I don’t know…»

«Well I know.» she closed her eyes, focused on the little breeze around them, and soon she was in the sky, flying past her sister.

«Hey, how you do that?»

«You just have to let everything go. Come on.»

«I don’t know how… you seemed more train in this than me. You ever had wings before?»

«Of course I don’t. But come on, let’s fly together.»

«I can’t.» running along on the ground, «You go on, it seem easy enough for you, but I have no experience with wings yet.»

«So sad.» flying ahead, towards the castle,

«No, its not.» drawing her breath.

«Well, see you.» dissappering unto the horizon

«Hey, that’s not fair…»

Zilla flew towards the wonderful building ahead, before she at last sat her feet at solid ground, looking back towards her sister who where nowhere to be seen.

She shrugged her shoulders before she went to the frontdoor and knocked.

«Hello?» it was a moments silence, before a deep voice spoke,

«Who’s there?»

Zilla looked up towards the high door, replying

«Just a friendly guest. Do you host those?»

The answer came quick,

«Come in, my friend.» before the door slowly opened with a crack.

Ahsoka landed on the ground next to her, and Zilla smiled,

«Looks like you made it.»

Ahsoka punced her in the side,

«It wasen’t easy. And I didn’t like that you just flew away. We could had lost each other!»

«Well, that didn’t happen.»

«No. But it could.» puching her back in irritation.»

Zilla put her hand on her shoulder,

«No reason to get upset about it. I think you did great.»

Ahsoka looked away,

«Well… yeah… thanks…»

A man made hus way up to them from the main entrance of the gate that led to the courtyard off the castle.

«Hi you two. At your service.» showing off a humble bow.

The twins looked at him, amazed,

«Are you…» they studied his clothes, his crown and the sword at his side, «Are you royal?»

The young man smiled to them,

«I’m King David. Welcome. Who ever you are. This way.» turning away and walking to one of the doors inside the yard.

Zilla and Ahsoka followed him, a little hesitant,

«You’re really a king?»

David nodded,

«Yes and I’m just happy to have guests.»
