A month had passed since the battle off Coruscant. And the Jedi and citizens, were now enjoying some peace. But in the Order, it wasn’t much peace to get anyway.
Zilla and Ahsoka had been running all over the temple for weeks, disturbing the quietness and the calmness that were supposed to be there.
Ahsoka were so eager to have her sister and wanted to show her everything, every detail and every room. From the tiny little thing to big statues and stuff.
Several Masters had been yelling at them, saying things like,
«Stop. No running in the corridors. Where are the Masters to these crazy kiddos?»
Anakin and Padme had been sitting in a resturant this evening night, enjoying some good food. Now they were sitting with drinks before them, talking. Looking dreamely into each others eyes. Convinced that the Padawans were in bed.
On the table not far away from them, sat Obi-Wan with Satine from Mandalore. Having some sort of same conversation.
Padme held her hand over Anakin’s as she silently breathed out. Letting all the stress of this day, flow away.
Anakin gently placed a flower in her hair,
«This moments.» he said, «Are very rare. We should really enjoy them while they last.»
Padme smiled in return,
«Yeah. No missions. No war. No…» they heard a crash in the back of the restaurant and turned in shock as the peace was disturbed to see what it was.
«Zilla? Why did you do that?» Ahsoka asked, as their practicing duel went on. She looked at the mess on the floor, and the angry customer who had gotten his food spoiled,
«It wasen’t my fault. It was the lightsaber.» she said, as the weapon returned to her hand after she had thrown it out in the air.
«We really shouldn’t duel in here.» Ahsoka answered in a worrying tone. «We will only get in trouble.»
«We really should get away before that Master of yours sees us.» Zilla replied as she felt a nervous feeling. Looking alarmed in the dirrection were the young couple sat, not very far from them. She always became anxious in his presence, after the time he had almost choked her to her death. And she didn’t very much wanted to be around him.
Ahsoka understood her, but she now silently shaked her head,
«If they allready knows we’re here, it’s to late to save our skin.» turning her saber off, «There be no running out of this one, we just have to act normal.»
«At what cost? Let’s get out of here. I really don’t want to be around Skywalker.»
«Then we shouldn’t have come to this place in the first place.» Ahsoka replied, taking her hand as her sister too, turned of her sabers, «Now let’s just pretend that nothing bad happened, and make our way silently before him, or he’s gonna come for us, and the situation will get even worse than it is now.»
A shivering ran down Zilla’s back,
«I don’t like this.»
Padme looked in distress at her husband when she saw the kiddos nearing them. She sighed at the sight of shattered glasses, overturned tables and spoilded food in the back of the restaurant,
«Why did you bring your Padawans here, Ani?» she said, clearly upset.
Anakin also sighed, putting his hand to his face,
«I didn’t bring them… And they’re not both mine.»
They raised up. Obi-Wan and Satine on the other table, did the same.
The four of them turned to the Padawans who came walking. Zilla tried to hide behind Ahsoka.
«I’m sorry, Master.» Ahsoka said, looking up at him. Feeling a bit ashamed, as a lump grew in her throat.
Obi-Wan looked down at Zilla, his newest Apprentice, with a raised eyebrow. His mouth were only a narrow line.
Satine stood beside him. And he were holding her hand in his,
«Zilla? Did you drag Ahsoka into this? This nonsense?» he asked, looking madly at her,
The Padawan swallowed
«I…» she began, «Maul always taught me to bring every circumstance into a battle.»
Obi-Wan gripped her shoulder,
«And you’re still following his instructions? How is The Soresu coming allong?» leading her away from the group, towards the door.
Zilla cast a glance at Ahsoka who remained in the restaurant, by her Master’s side,
«I…» looking back at Obi-Wan, «I’m trying, but I don’t want to let go off my Juyo.»
«Well. You’ll have to do that. Come on. It’s time for a training-lesson.»
Satine let go off his hand,
«Thank you for the time, tonight, Obi-Wan.» she said, but it was something in her tone that indicated that she wasn’t very satisfied, «Now I guess I head back to Mandalore.»
Obi-Wan nodded with a bit off sadness,
«Yeah. I’m sorry our time was interrubted…»
Satine wawed him off,
«Don’t worry off that now, darling. It’s more important to learn your Apprentice dicipline. But just remember to come and visit me on Mandalore.»
«I will, my love.»
Ahsoka saw the three off them leaving the restaurant, and she turned to look up at her Master,
«So…»
Anakin cleared his throat,
«You know I’m dissapointed in you, right?»
Ahsoka looked away for a moment,
«Yeah…» feeling the tears close by.
«You know better than this, Snips.» he scolded.
The Padawan slowly returned her gaze at him,
«She’s… She’s so wild, and…»
«Don’t let her drag you into things you know isn’t right, Snips.» laying his hand on her shoulder, «You have to take the lead.»
«I… Yes… Yes, Master.»
The corner off his mouth lifted a little bit, but it was only a little hint of a smile, before he grew serious once again,
«Now, go and apologize to the guests, and clean up in here.»
«Alone?»
«Of course, Ahsoka.» taking Padme’s hand, «You have kitchen-duty for a week. No… two weeks, actually.»
«But… Master…»
He gazed at her, as anger showed up in his face,
«Don’t let me make the consequences worse, Ahsoka. You do this. No questions asked.» before he turned away towards the door. Gently leading Padme by his side, «Now if you exuse me, I have a date ongoing.» walking towards the door, leaving the Padawan standing there, feeling hopeless.
When they were gone, the Chef came and grabbed her shoulder, hard and rude,
«You heard what your Master said, child. Now you listen to me.» giving her a bucket with a towel and a broom, «Clean up in here, begin in that corner,» pointing, «And when you’re finish, I have more for you.» turning and returning to the kitchen.
Ahsoka hung her head in sadness as she walked between the tables. The people who had been gathered in the restaurant, seemed to leave. One guest at a table near the wall, sat with his holoprojector, madly mumbling to himself. Ahsoka bent down to pick up the pieces scattered around him when she felt a slap to her head,
«Jedi-scum!» the man uttered, «Just tell the Chef I’ll never set my foot in here again.» walking madly to the door, leaving.
Ahsoka sighed sadly, as she gathered all crockery that were broken, into a trash-bag.
Along a field, Anakin and Padme silently walked side by side under a beatiful sunset.
«This been wonderful, Ani.» she let out with, leaning her head to his shoulder as they walked. He had his arm around her. Holding her close,
«I’m so glad you,re having a good time. Despite off my Padawan and her wildly sister.»
Padme raised her head to look him into the eyes,
«That incident dosen’t do anything. The beatiful thing is that we managed to catch up again.»
«Yeah.» sitting down at a bench along with her. And they looked into the horizon. Seeing the sun bathing the landscape in gold, as the evening were coming to an end.
In a training room back in the temple, an exausted Zilla were struggling to keep up with Obi-Wan who kept swinging at her with his Soresu form.
«You’re making it to hard, Master.» she protested as sweat dripped from her forehead, «I’m tired.»
«Your Juyo form that you keep insisting to use, is making you too emotional, no wonder you get’s tired.» he said in a confrontion tone, as he kept swinging his saber in a flashing blur.
«But Juyo is who I am.» Zilla replied, «Can’t we end the session now, please.»
«I don’t see it, Padawan.» Obi-Wan said irritated, «In all those years, you’d trained with Maul, did you never learn resilience?»
«I learned to hunt, and to trust in the dark side.» striking at him while he blocked.
«Well… Maul didn’t seem to have been a very good teacher.» knocking out her sabers for the ninetieth time this night.
«You don’t know him like I did.» she said, breathing heavily.
«Well… let’s end for tonight, shall we?» turning his saber off, giving her, her own back, «And I recommend that you practice more on Soresu. That will make you more tactical, and you will have easier to defend your self.»
«I’m Juyo. Like Maul taught me.»
Obi-Wan shaked his head in upsetness,
«You ain’t you saber-form, Zilla. You are you.»
The Padawan just looked at him, confused.
«Now go and get some good rest for the night, and we’ll see each other tomorrow.» squeezing her shoulder, «Well done.»
Zilla Tano made her way through the corridor, when she suddenly stumbled into Anakin, who were on his way to see Obi-Wan.
«Hey. Watch it.» he spat,
Zilla gasped, stammered out an apology before she ran all the way to her chamber and closed the door shut.
